StarHub and Cooliris partner to debut next-generation media communication in Singapore
Singapore and Palo Alto, USA – 3 June 2011: StarHub, Singapore’s fully-integrated info-communication and entertainment company, and Cooliris, innovator of visually immersive experiences, announce a partnership to debut LiveShare by Cooliris in the Singapore market, bringing next-generation media communication to consumers.
LiveShare by Cooliris, a free application available for iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone 7, is a new and hyper-personal way to communicate with friends across mobile and web through live group photo streams. LiveShare users can create private photo streams around shared experiences with friends, or explore and contribute to public photo streams of cool events happening around them.
This partnership allows StarHub to bring its brand closer to consumers by giving them the opportunity to share their experiences through an innovative media sharing platform. LiveShare will be showcased during ScreenSingapore, an international cinema event which StarHub supports as the Official Entertainment Network.
The public can download the LiveShare application and share live photos from the red carpet and film premieres, which viewers all over the world can explore and comment on in the mobile app or at www.liveshare.com. The photo stream will also be displayed “live” on large projector screens at The Grand Cathay and Shaw Theatres Lido on 6 June and 11 June respectively, as well as on the StarHub ScreenSingapore website (www.starhub.com/screensingapore) and the StarHub Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StarHub). StarHub will be rewarding a few lucky customers with an exclusive invitation to the Larry Crowne Gala Premiere on the closing night. To participate, users should simply upload photos of the ScreenSingapore Opening Night at GV VivoCity on 5 June and get the most number of friends to “like” their photos.
