Free Preview on Singtel mio TV Channels During CNY

Attention all Singtel mio users, Singtel is extending the free preview during the Chinese New Year period. From 2nd February till 6th February, mio TV users can watch all its linear and subscription VOD channels. More information after the break.

Free preview of mio TV’s linear and SVOD Channels from 3-6 February 2011

Singapore, 31 January 2011 — Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) mio TV today announced that it will be extending a free preview of all its linear and subscription VOD channels to subscribers during the Chinese New Year weekend. The preview starts from 12 noon on Wednesday, 2 February till 11.55pm on Sunday, 6 February.

“This is our way of giving back to our subscribers, especially during a season where families get together to celebrate the Lunar New Year,” said Mr Goh Seow Eng, Chief, Digital Home. “It also gives them a chance to discover the other great channels on mio TV that they may not have seen before.”

Each night from 2-6 February at 10pm, movies like Here Comes Fortune, Ip Man 2, Bodyguards and Assassins and 14 Blades will be aired on Mei Ah Movies Channel (Channel 50).

mio TV customers can also tune in to SET (Channel 20) on 2 February and be treated to the light-hearted medical comedy Out Of Practice which is about a family of physicians who share the same profession but have very little in common.
Subscribers will also be able to watch the wonderful performances from the Taichung countdown to 2011 on Xinya Azio (Channel 72) on 3 February.

Music lovers can catch the Susan Boyle and Kesha TV Special on 4 February on the same channel. The programme features behind-the-scenes footage and the stars sharing their thoughts on their musical journeys.

Also not to be missed is the special feature on boyband ZE:A that is sure to delight K-Pop fans. Also on Xinya Azio, veteran host Huang Zijiao interviews the nine male idols and gets them to participate in fun-filled game segments.

Over on Li TV (Channel 22) on 4 February, Steven Sabados and Chris Hyndman breathe life into plain home decor elements with their magic touch. The dynamic duo has taken the world by storm with their successful shows Designer Guys, Design Rivals and So Chic with Steven and Chris, which have aired in over 80 countries.

mio TV subscribers will be spoilt for choice as there will be free access to 63 channels, including subscription video on-demand channels such as FOX On Demand, Sundance Channel On Demand and HK & Taiwan Mei Ah Drama on Demand.
