Nikon releases new firmware as countermeasure to reduce Bright Spots issue on D7000. Although this does not completely remove the problem, it helps to reduce it.

According to the Nikon US website,

Bright spots were sometimes noticeable with live view mode or movie recording of especially dark scenes or subjects.  Occurrence of this issue has been reduced.

So, head down to Nikon website to download this firmware. Read the instruction carefully. In my opinion, if you have no confidence, I am sure the Nikon Service Center can help 🙂 .

BTW, I checked Nikon Singapore website, the firmware is NOT there yet. So, you might want to hold on first until the D7000 Firmware is ready (for Singapore).
