Latest Xperia X10 Update to Android 2.1 has No Multi-Touch Support – Video Within

From the latest information on Sony Ericsson product blog, it seems that Russia, Singapore, Indonesia and many African countries may already have the update.

If you remember, Sony Ericsson was in a really bad situation when they did not fulfill a promise to update the Android 1.6 to 2.1 in September.

While most of the Android Smartphones were already in Android 2.2, Sony Ericsson’s latest update will only be up to Android 2.1. In their recent post, they promised to push out the updates to Android 2.1 from Sunday, European time. Now, it seems that some already got it (although my friend who has an Xperia X10 did not get any today).

To add to the insult to the slow action from Sony Ericsson, they added a blog entry today to address the popular question on whether the latest update has multi-touch and the answer is a simple NO.

Q: Will it have Multi Touch, 16M colors, Arabic language support?
A: No (there has been lots of discussions around this in earlier comment-threads but in short – No)

Yes, you hear it. NO multi-touch on the new update. That is really a disappointment (again).

Nevertheless, for the rest who wanted to know how to upgrade your handset, can take a look at this video.
