It is just a day before official launch (on 21st October 2010). I monitored the Marketplace daily and it is already ramping up on its games and apps. Although not comparable to the numbers on Apple Apps Store or Android Market, it is still a good sign.
I guess it is increasing day by day. As for Apps, there are good ones, official ones and lousy ones (my opinion). If it is to compare with Apple Apps Store or Google Android Market, Microsoft still needs to entice more developers or business partners.
My guess is that many more apps and games will be added after 21st Oct. Most developers might be taking the wait and see approach.

Here is a shot of the game Twin Blades on Windows Phone 7 Xbox Live and iPhone 3Gs.
As you can see, the game played on Windows Phone 7 is quite on par with one from iPhone 3Gs. I got my friend to test it out for me. 🙂
