Motorola to Have 2GHz Android Handset by End of Year

Motorola is on an aggressive path to push more handsets to the market. And they are saying that their future handsets may have 2GHz processors and the latest Android OS.

According to Engadget, Motorola has the intention to bring the world the first 2GHz Android handset. And they might be integrating gyroscope that can cater for HD video recording plus NVIDIA Tegra for graphics. Of course, not forgetting that if they can upgrade the Android to the latest OS, Flash 10.1 will be included.

I have talked to Motorola’s executives during several Motorola launches in Singapore and they are committed to bring 20 handsets to Singapore by this year.

So, based on the current trend from Motorola, I am predicting that their high end Smartphones in future will have:

  • 2GHz Processor
  • Front Facing camera
  • Minimum 8 MegaPixels camera with Xenon Flash for main camera
  • HD recording (720p)
  • Gyroscope
  • Android 2.2 (Froyo) or higher (Flash supported)
  • Graphics Processor Included

If this comes true, and with good UI (User Interface) and touch screen, Motorola might be the huge competitor to Apple iPhone 4. In fact, they are already half way there, based on their latest Milestone XT launch in Singapore. What do  you think?
