LG provided me a 24-inch LED Monitor (W2486L) for review. It is part of the W80L series of LED monitor. So far, this is the biggest review set that I have done. It is one of the latest range from LG. I love the specs.

The design is sleek and the LED monitor is very thin at 20.5mm. It has a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio! Here is the specs if you cannot wait. Click on it for a larger view.

The package comes with some accessories and cables.

The Power Adapter

The CD provided contains the manual, driver and a ForteManager software. You can actually plug-and-play this monitor (if you are using XP or Vista or Windows 7). If you wants to control the monitor from your PC, you will need to install the software.

The cable for the Power adapter. The cable cord provided to me is not the Singapore standard 3-pin plug. I used a adapter to plug it in.

The front panel control. It is using the same technology as LG Chocolate phone. It is touch sensitive. Once you touch it, red light will appear.

The connections at the back. There are 2 HDMI ports, D-Sub and DVI-D ports, an ear phone jack. Of course, there is the power connection point.

The monitor sits on a swivel base. Installing it is very easy.

Just insert the monitor base into this slot and you can easily lock it with a nut at the base. See below.

This LG W3486L LED Monitor features some eco friendly technology like LOHAS (Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability) and Energy Saving. I am still testing it and LG has allow us to test the unit for 2 months. I will update more. If you have questions on this monitor or you wish to test something, just post a comment.
