Google SideWiki Allows You to Put Comments on Any Websites

Posted on 24 September 2009 by Joe Teh

Again, Google had come up with something new. This time, their idea is to allow people to put comments on website. This is done by installing a toolbar to your browser (currently, only Mozilla Firefox 2+ and Internet Explorer 6+ are supported).

To be able to see other people’s comment, you have to install SideWiki. However, you are not able to alter other comments. According to Straits Times,

The Internet search and advertising giant said it had developed an algorithm to ensure that the ‘most useful, high-quality entries’ are displayed at the top of a Sidewiki panel.

However, I think that we have to wait a while to see if people buy Google’s idea of add comments by the side panel.
