It is official (based on Straits Times). NSmen who needs to attend ICT (In-Camp Training) can bring their laptops, PDAs and Blackberries. They can then use them during their “non-training hours”.
Based on Straits Times report, the allowance increased by about 20%.

Mindef will also be building 3 business buildings to cater for NSmen needs to conduct business during their non-training hours.
Three business centres, fitted with wireless internet access, photocopiers, online telephony service Skype and fascimile facilities, will be set up by the end of the year.
This is really good news for many of us. I wonder how they are going to control the webcams from laptops or the camera from our portable devices or phones.
