haha, Suh Chyuan, the press release also mentioned mid September but I asked HTC manager directly, she mentioned there is no date. So, I guess 18th may be correct.

Here is a snippet of the press release: -

Pricing & Availability:

“The new HTC Hero will be available in Absolute white and Urban brown from mid September 2009 at all authorized resellers at a suggested retail price of S$898**. Standard retail HTC Hero package will come with a 2GB microSD™ card.”

Correction… I’ve just receieved “insider info” that it will be officially launch at our local telcos on September 18th. =)

Hi Joe, during the evening launch event, Mr. Melvin Chua did leak out that “the HTC Hero will launch in mid-September, next week.”

If this is really true, that will be a great news.. =)

anon, based on the Press Release, it states mid-September (no fix date). But there will be no exclusive to any telcos.
