Today, I blogged about the Huawei Android Phone, 8230. Therefore, I took a little more effort to look for it at CommunicAsia 2009. Found it but it was not a working model. Nevertheless, took out my trusty camera to take some pics and a short video on it.

I was surprised that no one took special notice on it. Maybe it is because it was displayed with a row of other Huawei phones.

Here is the specifications of the phone (or do I call it the highlights). There was no mention on the platform it is using. However, you can see that it mentioned Google Talk, Google Mail and etc.

Highlights:
- Bluetooth: 2.0, A2DP
- Interface: USB 2.0 HS
- Browser: Chrome Lite
- Connectivity: WiFi
- Battery: Li-poly, 1500mAh
- Others: GPS, G-Sensor
No mention of what network it is using or anything on phone processor specs.
The finishing of the phone is of high quality. Here is a close up of the trackball area.

And here is the back of the phone.

There is no indication of how many megapixels on the phone. However, basedo on the official picture, it shows a 3.2 MegaPixels one.
Here is a close up of the speaker.

I have made a short video of the phone. Enjoy.

Hi Joe! As always, your work is flawless!
I wanted to ask you something, does this phone have a front camera for video calling or is that the proximity sensor?
Thanks,
Diego

Diego, will check tonight on my original pic. Cannot recall as this is a dummy.
I still remember your request. Touch HD and Acer F900 fight!

I look at it closely. I think it is a front camera. Anyway, I believe the proximity sensor or light sensor is normally built into the speaker slot (ear slot) as it will not be covered by screen protection.
