Here are some of the pictures that I have taken on 25th March 2009 on my first Singapore Flyer trip. I wanted to share with everyone the nice view that I had seen while on the Flyer. Feel free to comment. Seriously, I think the view on top of it is very nice if the weather is good and the timing is correct.
The weather was bad that day. A thunderstorm on its way causing the ride to be suspended. Nevertheless, around the evening time, the sky is clear and ride was resumed. This is very typical of Singapore weather. Below is a picture to show the contrast of the weather.
Here is a view of the ride during the suspension.
And here is part of the view of Benjamin Sheares Bridge.
My attempt on Panorama with ARCSOFT Panorama Maker 4.
Another panorama view.
Reaching the Top is the best part. You got to see the skyline of Singapore. Here is a picture of the up and coming IR (Integrated Resort)
This is just part of it separated by the Expressway. Here is the overview.
Another interesting part of Singapore is the Floating Stage. We held our National Day Celebration and Parade there. Now, it has been (or in progress) transformed into a floating soccer field.
Now, lets see the skyline of Singapore when the Flyer reaches the Top (165m above sea level, if I am not wrong). As you can see, it has both elements of gloomy sky and sunset. All into one picture 🙂
Finally, another shot of the Benjamin Sheares Bridge across the Marina bay.
If you are visiting Singapore this year, remember to visit our Uniquely Singapore website for the 2009 reasons to visit Singapore. There are many ongoing promotions. Be sure to grab them. Below is the link. BTW, I don’t work for Singapore Tourist Promotion Board (STPB) nor am I asked to review our Singapore attraction. It is just my way to help Singapore in this gloomy economy downturn. Cheers!
